Bingham County Waste to Go to Bannock County

(BLACKFOOT) – Bingham County commissioners have reached an agreement about what to do with the county’s solid waste. In June, a Utah-based contractor responsible for running the central-transfer station defaulted, and it didn’t take long for the garbage to pile up. Local News 8 reports that Bannock County officials have agreed to take Bingham County’s trash at $26 a ton. A search for bidders for transferring the garbage is set to beging this week.
