Pocatello Police Caution About Solicitors

(POCATELLO) – As the weather gets warmer, the Pocatello Police Department is offering residents tips about door-to-door solicitors. Police tell Local News 8 that solicitors must register with the city before hitting the streets, though there are no background checks. They encourage citizens to stand their ground and not give in to pressure to buy things they don’t need, and to have caution when opening doors to those they don’t know. They also recommend reporting any suspicious behavior by calling 911 or the Pocatello police dispatch center.
