Blackmon was pulled over for driving 60 mph in a 35 mph zone. According to Stillwater police spokesman Capt. Randy Dickerson, Blackmon smelled of alcohol when he was pulled over at 3 a.m. Blackmon took a breathalyzer test and blew a 0.24 which is three times the legal limit of 0.08. In Oklahoma, a driver can be charged with aggravated DUI if the test shows 0.15 or greater.

“I’m embarrassed to be in this position,” Blackmon said. “I’m truly sorry to my family, to my friends, and to Oklahoma State all together. I look forward to redeeming myself and proving to everybody that this isn’t who I am. I’m not this guy. I’m humbled by this experience and I will grow from it.”

The Jaguars traded up to select Blackmon with the fifth pick in this past year’s draft. Last season at Oklahoma State, Blackmon caught 122 passes for 1,522 yards and 18 touchdowns.
