Fish & Wildlife Officials Plan Land Easement Program

  Published at

(POCATELLO) – U.S. Fish and Wildlife officials are hoping to buy up development rights for more than 900,000 acres of farmland in southeast Idaho.

KIDK reports authorities are planning a conservation easement program in the Bear River watershed that will allow farmers and ranchers to continue growing crops and grazing cattle.

The plan would prevent further development to promote wildlife habitat and compensate landowners who agree to sign on.
