(LOS ANGELES) — James Cameron’s Avatar sequels will be filmed in New Zealand, with the first of three due in December 2016, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A $412 million-dollar deal was made between the New Zealand government, Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp.
New Zealand has also been home to the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films.
