INL Director Steps Down

Idaho Falls, Idaho — Idaho National Laboratory Director John Grossnebacher is stepping down after a more than a decade on the job. Ron Townsend, Chair of Battelle Energy Alliance’s Board of Managers made the announcement Tuesday.
Townsend praised Grossenbacher for his “strong leadership and vision” as the head man at the site. Grossenbacher led the BEA bid that was awarded the contract to manage and operate the INL in February 2005.
A national search for his replacement has already begun.
