UPDATE: Police misidentify man killed in I-15 crash near Blackfoot

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

On July 16, 2016, the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 15 near Blackfoot. The driver was initially identified as Adam Wise.

After further information was obtained the driver has now been identified as Wyatt Wells, 20, of Idaho Falls.

Notification to family has been made.

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

BLACKFOOT — Idaho State Police are investigating a single vehicle fatality crash that occurred on southbound Interstate 15 at milepost 95 near Blackfoot.

The accident happened about 6 a.m. Saturday.

A 1996 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Adam Wise, 32, of Idaho Falls, was southbound when he went off the right shoulder. The vehicle struck the guardrail and continued for a short time off the right shoulder and struck the overpass abutment and came to rest.

Wise was not wearing a seat belt and succumbed to his injuries on scene.

Partial lanes were blocked for approximately three hours.

Next of kin has been notified.
