MUNCIE, Ind. –- Police have arrested two suspects in a horrific kidnapping case that occurred in Muncie, Indiana.

Police tell CBS4 the two men kidnapped two women and one male and brought them to a car detailing garage where the victims were bound with zip ties and duct tape and beat for several hours.

One of the female victims was able to escape because the garage was so hot that she was sweating and able to break free from the duct tape around her neck and hands. She then ran to a gas station and called 911.

The woman spoke to CBS4 News about the terrifying ordeal. She said she went to the car garage after her friend didn’t return home. When she got there, the woman claims she was hit on the back of the head with a shovel and passed out. When she woke up, she said she was bound with zip ties and duct tape.

“They duct taped me about 16-17 times, pulled out half of my hair. I have stitches in the back of my head,” said the victim, who CBS4 is not identifying.

Police arrived at the garage around 3:50 a.m. and they located the two other victims and one of the suspects.

The man was beaten in the head with a shovel, and the female was shot dozens of times in her leg with a nail gun. All three victims were rushed to Ball Memorial Hospital.

One of the suspects was arrested at the car detailing garage. Police arrested the second suspect at a second location. Police identified the suspects as Robert Walton and Benitez McCullum. They face charges of criminal confinement and battery with a deadly weapon.
