REXBURG — On Sunday morning, at 1:46 am, the Madison Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 319 East 3625 North. This is a residential location within Madison County.

Upon arrival the fire department found two detached garages that were fully engulfed in flames. To the immediate East and West, of these buildings, were two residential structures. The fire was an immediate threat to both structures.

Fire crews ensured that the residents of both buildings were evacuated to a safe location while working to protect both homes. The residence to the East sustained some damage to a portion of the roof, a small area in the attic, and one exterior wall. However, the integrity of the home and its contents were protected thanks to the efforts of the firefighters.
