“Furious 7” Stars Remember Paul Walker at World Premiere in L.A.

“Furious 7” Stars Remember Paul Walker at World Premiere in L.A. Universal(LOS ANGELES) — The cast of Furious 7 attended Wednesday night’s world premiere of the action sequel in Los Angeles, but one person’s absence was on the minds of the stars -- the late Paul Walker.  Dwayne Johnson said they were there to celebrate the fans of the franchise and the movie, but more importantly to celebrate Walker's life.Furious 7 features the last onscreen appearance of Walker, who died in a car crash in November 2013 while the movie was still filming. The film was originally scheduled for release last July, but production was delayed for several months following Walker’s death. One of the film's stars, Ludacris, said on the red carpet that the movie "almost didn’t see the light of day" after Walker died."So this night it means everything to me right now," the rapper and actor shared. "There’s a void that needs to be filled. It’s bittersweet but this movie is paying homage to Paul and I’m glad we were able to finish it in his honor." Tyrese Gibson described Walker as “our motivation to finish.”Walker’s brothers, Caleb and Cody Walker, were stand-ins for their late sibling in several scenes.Walker even inspired co-star Vin Diesel to name his newborn daughter after the late star. "Paul Walker was the one that told me to cut the umbilical cord," Diesel shared. "As I was cutting the umbilical cord two weeks ago, I couldn’t stop but think of him; of Paul and his advice. And when it came time to write down the name, Pauline just came out." Diesel has already hinted there may be an eighth film in the Fast and Furious franchise.Furious 7 races into theaters Friday.Follow @ABCNewsRadio Copyright © 2015, ABC Radio. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Reveal the Sweet Birthday Gift She Got Him

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Reveal the Sweet Birthday Gift She Got Him Wendell Teodoro/WireImage(NEW YORK) --  Kelly Ripa went the sentimental route for her husband's birthday gift.Wednesday, the Live with Kelly & Michael host and her husband Mark Consuelos, who just turned 44, discussed the gesture -- a plaque on a bench in Central Park."It's so nice," gushed Consuelos, who turned 44 on March 31. "That's the best gift I've ever received."Ripa, 44, told her husband in the morning that she'd give him his gift when she got home. First, he guessed that they were going to a hotel, and then, when she led him outside, he assumed she was giving him a car."I'm like, 'Oh no! He thinks it's something amazing!'" she said with a laugh. As they made their way down Fifth Avenue, Consuelos kept guessing about what his wife had in store. A flash mob ("My worst nightmare!" he said) and a townhouse were two of his theories."I'm like, 'Stop saying elaborate things, because now my very sweet gift that's very sweet and from the kids and from the heart is going to seem really small!'" she said. But when he finally reached the bench, which Ripa had decorated with balloons and a sign, he was touched. The plaque, he pointed out, reads: "Daddy Cool," Ripa's nickname for him."You're the most thoughtful, the best gift giver of all time," he told his wife. Giuliana Rancic Explains Why She’s so Thin

Giuliana Rancic Explains Why She’s so Thin Andrew Eccles/E! Entertainment(LOS ANGELES) -- During awards season earlier this year, many in Hollywood noticed Giuliana Rancic's thin figure. The Fashion Police co-host said she agrees that she's slim, but added that it's not for the reasons that have been bandied about in the media."Some people were saying, 'The cancer is probably back.' And they were accusing me of every eating disorder. I thought to myself, 'God, if someone really thought I had an eating disorder, what a horrible way to approach it,'" she told People magazine.Rancic, a breast cancer survivor, said her doctor informed her that a cancer-suppressing medication that she's been taking since 2012 has had an effect on her metabolism, making it difficult to gain weight."I started noticing that I was eating a lot, but not gaining weight at all. I was concerned," she explained. "I eat more than any of my friends. I eat a very robust, healthy, balanced diet and dessert almost every night. I'm not hiding from anything."The TV personality said the attention has been hard to hear. "It's really hurtful," Rancic added. "I'm sorry that some people think I'm disgustingly skinny, as they put it, but there's nothing I can do. I'm lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine."Rancic said she would even prefer to put on weight, if she could. "I look in the mirror and it's hard for me," she admitted. "I am really thin. I want to look fit and beautiful and sexy, and I can't." The mother of one said now she tries to focus on the positives. "I refuse to be broken. I have so many beautiful things in my life," she added. Rancic is set to release a memoir, Going Off Script, on April 7. Follow @ABCNewsRadio Copyright © 2015, ABC Radio. All rights reserved.

Avril Lavigne Reveals She Has Lyme Disease

Avril Lavigne Reveals She Has Lyme Disease Peter Kramer/NBC(LOS ANGELES) -- Rocker Avril Lavigne has revealed the health crisis she hinted to fans about last year on social media -- it's Lyme disease."I had no idea a bug bite could do this," Lavigne told People magazine, adding that she believes she was bit by a tick last spring. "I was bedridden for five months."The 30-year-old musician told People she began feeling ill last April but doctors told her she was likely dehydrated and exhausted from touring. With her symptoms worsening over a span of months, Lavigne said she knew it was something more. "I had to fight,” Lavigne told the magazine. "I had doctors tell me I was crazy and they didn’t want to test me. I had to learn about it completely on my own.”Lavigne’s mom moved into her Ontario home to help her recuperate and Lavigne’s husband, Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger, stepped in to help while on breaks from his tour, according to People.“She has rarely left her home,” said People staff writer Patrick Gomez. “She says she has been unable to breathe. It is hard to stand and she is barely able to brush her teeth.”Lavigne kept her diagnosis from the public eye at first, only revealing on Twitter in December that she was “not feeling well.”“I’m not feeling well,” Lavigne wrote in a Dec. 7 direct message to a fan that went viral. “I’m having some health issues so please keep me in your prayers.”“I never had depression but being sick and so terrified, that in itself is depressing,” Lavigne told People. “I was scared for my life.”Lavigne says she completely changed her diet and exercise routine, eliminating sugar, dairy and gluten and trying to walk or swim every day along with meditation and yoga. She estimates she is now about 80 percent recovered.“I’ve never been more clear about what I want in my life: health, family, love and happiness,” Lavigne said, adding that she is “grateful” for “the worst thing” she’s had to face so far. David Duchovny: “The X-Files” Is Back, Thanks to Spanx

David Duchovny: “The X-Files” Is Back, Thanks to Spanx Kevin Winter/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — On Tuesday night's Late Show, David Letterman welcomed David Duchovny, who spoke about the anticipated return of The X-Files, which is coming back to Fox as a limited run series. "When they developed Spanx, I knew I had a shot at coming back," quipped the now 54-year-old actor, who first starred as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder back in 1993. Duchnovny explained that Gillian Anderson will return as his partner, Dana Scully, a medical doctor and FBI Agent with deliberately skeptical eyes who accompanied Mulder on paranormal cases. Both characters eventually left the bureau behind, but still followed the strange, in the 2008 movie X-Files: I Want to Believe, which under-performed at the box office. The success of the limited-run 24: Live Another Day, however, sparked new life into an X-Files revival. On Letterman's show, Duchovny assured fans all their favorites would also return. "Mitch Pileggi will come back," the actor said, referring to the man who played the agents' hard-nosed boss, FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner."The Cigarette Smoking Man, if this means anything to anyone, will be coming back," said Duchovny of the mysterious, fan favorite baddie played by William B. Davis.  After being off the air "forever," Duchovny allows, "It's a strange phenomenon that people still want to see those characters, but I'm grateful."The six new X-Files episodes will likely be shot this summer.Follow @ABCNewsRadio Copyright © 2015, ABC Radio. “Game of Thrones” Star Kit Harington Says It’s ‘Demeaning’ to Call Him a Hunk

“Game of Thrones” Star Kit Harington Says It’s ‘Demeaning’ to Call Him a HunkHelen Sloan/courtesy of HBO (NEW YORK) — Don't call Kit Harington a hunk."To always be put on a pedestal as a hunk is slightly demeaning," the Game of Thrones star tells the New York Post's Page Six of the attention he receives for his looks. "It really is and it’s in the same way as it is for women. When an actor is seen only for her physical beauty, it can be quite offensive.""I’m in a successful TV show in a kind of leading man way and it can sometimes feel like your art is being put to one side for your sex appeal. And I don’t like that," he continues."In this position you get asked a lot, 'Do you like being a heartthrob? Do you like being a hunk?' Well, my answer is, 'That’s not what I got into it for,'" Harington adds.Still, he does like receiving one compliment -- on his flowing hair. "People become fascinated by very particular things and I find that really interesting, whether it’s a catchphrase or someone’s hair…But I love that I seem to have brilliant hair. I suppose it’s a great thing in life, isn’t it?" he admits, with a laugh. "Especially that [because] I’m terrified of going bald."As for his personal life, Harington tells the Post, "I’m single and I have been for a while."  Still, he is looking for love, adding that he prefers to date "redheads.""I’m a hopeless romantic, maybe to a fault at times, because it’s gotten me into trouble. But I love romance. I think it’s one of the greatest pleasures in life," he says. "It’s about giving each other something, it’s giving something away and it should be a most unselfish act. It’s saying, ‘I’ve hired a little cottage somewhere. We’re going away! Surprise!'""And when I said that I’m a hopeless romantic, I’m trying not only to search for the love of my life, but to learn to be happy with myself and who I am as a person," he adds. "Hopefully that lovely lady will come along one day. And although I love romance, I’m trying to live without it at the moment."Previously, Harington has been linked to his Game of Thrones co-star, Rose Leslie, and his Pompeii co-star, Emily Browning.Game of Thrones is set to return for season five April 12 at 9 p.m. Eastern time on HBO.Follow @ABCNewsRadio Copyright © 2015, ABC Radio. Kate Hudson Says She and Ex-Fiance Will ‘Be Family for the Rest of Our Lives’

Kate Hudson Says She and Ex-Fiance Will ‘Be Family for the Rest of Our Lives’Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy still seem to be on good terms after splitting last year. In fact, the two are still the co-owners of Hudson Bellamy Wines. The actress said their failed relationship won't stop them from creating wines together. "We’re family for the rest of our lives, we have a beautiful baby and we love making wine. We’ll continue doing it," she told Wine Enthusiast magazine. The two, who ended their engagement last December after a four-year romance, have a three-year-old son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy.Hudson said she was inspired to create her own wine company thanks to her "stepdad," actor Kurt Russell. He's the longtime partner of her mother, Goldie Hawn. When asked if there is anything about winemaking that’s like filmmaking, Hudson told the magazine, "I wouldn’t stretch it that far, but I would say that I did have the realization of how creative the process really is.""But what’s very different from making movies is that everything in wine is connected to nature," Hudson continued. "Your grapes can only be as good as your year. That is one of the things that makes it very special and incredibly unique. You are at the mercy of your crop, and I love that. Though, we are telling a story. Every bottle has a story, and when you sit down and drink it, you feel connected to that story." Follow @ABCNewsRadio Copyright © 2015, ABC Radio. Comedy Central Supports New “Daily Show” Host Trevor Noah After Backlash

Comedy Central Supports New “Daily Show” Host Trevor Noah After Backlash Comedy Central(NEW YORK) -- Comedy Central said they stand by Trevor Noah, Jon Stewart's successor on The Daily Show, after the South African comedian came under fire for some controversial comments he'd tweeted in the past. The tweets have caused some to accuse Noah of being anti-Semitic and sexist. One tweet from 2011, for example, reads, "A hot white woman with a** is like a unicorn. Even if you do see one, you’ll probably never get to ride it." Others contain comments about Jews and Israel, which were perceived to be derogatory. But in a statement provided to ABC Radio Monday, the cable network said, "Like many comedians, Trevor Noah pushes boundaries; he is provocative and spares no one, himself included. To judge him or his comedy based on a handful of jokes is unfair. Trevor is a talented comedian with a bright future at Comedy Central." Noah has also received support from fellow comedians, including Chris Rock. When the news first broke about Noah replacing Stewart, he tweeted: "Thank you President Obama." The Funniest Moments from Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central Roast

The Funniest Moments from Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central Roast Courtesy of Comedy Central(LOS ANGELES) -- Justin Bieber's singing career, his brushes with the law and his former girlfriend Selena Gomez were among the main targets during the much-anticipated Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber, which aired Monday. The roast featured an eclectic roster of celebrities taking turns poking fun at Bieber, including comedians Natasha Leggero, Jeff Ross and Hannibal Buress, Undateable star Chris D’Elia, Saturday Night Live standout Pete Davidson, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, rappers Ludacris and Snoop Dogg, lifestyle guru Martha Stewart and host, actor/comedian Kevin Hart. Here are some of the special's highlights:D'Elia, whom Bieber calls his “favorite comedian,” kidded the singer about his blue suit and his hairstyle. “For a guy worth $200 million, why are you dressed like Sharon Stone in the 90s,” D'Elia joked. The actor and stand-up comic said of Bieber, “You have it all...except for respect, love, friends, good parents and a Grammy.”Hart joked that “Ebola patients hear about ‘Bieber fever’ and say, ‘I’m gonna go ahead and ride this one out.’”Ross joked that he “never roasted somebody with a bedtime before.” He also joked about Bieber’s on-again-off-again romance with Gomez, noting she “wanted to be here, but she’s dating men now.” After telling the singer, “You have such a huge career behind you,” Ross closed by saying, “You know what Biebs, you’re right. You’re young, talented, you’re famous and that can be a lot of pressure, but you’re a smart man with a good heart and I know you’ll never end up like Kurt Cobain or Amy Winehouse -- respected.”O’Neal joked, “Justin, as a father of six, you have to straighten up, son. Last year, you were ranked the fifth-most-hated person of all time. Kim Jong-un didn’t rank that low. And he uses your music to torture people.”Stewart told the singer, “Justin, I’m sure it’s great to have 60 million followers on Twitter, but the only place people will be following you in jail is into the shower.”Will Ferrell, appearing as his Ron Burgundy character from Anchorman, defended Bieber’s numerous brushes with the law, declaring the pop star is “doing it right.” He then ran down all the incidents, noting, “This kid has spunk, moxie and probably a few other STDs.”Near the end of the special, Bieber fired back at the roasters."I turned a lot of people off the past few years, but I know I can still turn out good music and turn everything around,” he said. “You have my word I will not end up broken, pathetic, bitter or sitting on the dais of somebody else's roast."The singer then got serious. He said he was “thrown into this at 12 years old” and that he didn’t know what he was getting himself into. He then apologized for his past behavior, declaring, “I’m a kind-hearted person who loves people, and through it all, I lost some of my best qualities.” He added that he’s “looking forward to being someone that you guys can all look at and be proud of.”The special was taped on March 14. Which “Terminator” Film Does Arnold Schwarzenegger Say ‘Sucked’?

Which “Terminator” Film Does Arnold Schwarzenegger Say ‘Sucked’? David McNew/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- In the first Terminator film, Arnold Schwarzenegger said he'd be back.  Now he's back for a fourth time in Terminator: Genisys. It's actually the fifth film in the Terminator film series and marks the former California governor's return to the science-fiction flicks after bowing out of Terminator Salvation, which was released in 2009. "You didn't do the fourth?" ABC News correspondent Nick Watt asked Schwarzenegger in an interview that aired on Tuesday's Good Morning America. The actor replied, laughing: "Thank God." "Why, was it bad?" Watt asked. "It sucked," Schwarzenegger said. Thirty-one years after the original Terminator premiered, Schwarzenegger’s character fights his younger self in Genisys. "Here the challenge was, how do I have the same frame as I had in the 1984 movie?" the 67-year-old former champion bodybuilder said, adding that he "wasn't that far away from it." "I was an eight. So, I had to push it up to a ten. But within two months I got to that size," Schwarzenegger said. Genisys is the start of a new Terminator trilogy. "They paid a lot of attention to make this movie really work, to make this movie really go through the roof because then there's a reason to do two more," Schwarzenegger explained. Terminator: Genisys also stars Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes star Jason Clarke as John Connor, and Divergent actor Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese.
