Typhoon Vongfong Cuts Power and Floods Streets in Japan
Published at(TOKYO) — Typhoon Vongfong swept over Japan’s southern island of Okinawa Saturday and is now taking aim at the island of Kyushu.
At least 35 people are injured and 150,000 people have been evacuated.
The typhoon toppled trees, flooded streets, and cut power to more than 60,000 homes.
Vongfong is expected to reach the Tokyo area on Tuesday.
