An attorney for Chloe Goins told reporters that Goins may be the first of Cosby’s accusers whose claims may fall within the state’s legal statute of limitations to pursue criminal charges against the comedian.

Attorney Spencer Kuvin said, “Mr. Cosby feels brazen enough and confident enough in his actions to make jokes at some of his shows about the 25-plus women that have now come forward. Ms. Goins is certainly not joking.”

Cosby made a joke about the growing number of sexual assault allegations made against him during a stand-up performance in Canada last week.

In December, an alleged Cosby victim named Judy Huth, who’s claimed he abused her at the Playboy Mansion in the 1970s, met with Los Angeles police, but prosecutors declined to file charges in that case, citing the statute of limitations.

Cosby’s attorney previously denied many of the claims made against the TV legend. The 77-year-old comedian has never been criminally charged in connection with the allegations.

Cosby is scheduled to perform this weekend in Denver, where protests are planned.
