Elvis Presley’s Private Planes Up for Auction
Published at(NEW YORK) — A pair of private planes owned by Elvis Presley are up for auction.
The “Lisa Marie” and the “Hound Dog II” will be auctioned off by Julien’s Auctions, the auction house said on Saturday. They began accepting sealed bids on Friday and will accept more through Feb. 2.
Both planes, the auction house says, are for display only and cannot be flown.
Presley purchased both jets in 1975, naming them after his daughter and one of his most famous hits. They have been on site at Elvis’ Graceland mansion for fans to tour the interior.
