The final season will feature a number of returning guest stars, including Paul Rudd reprising his role as Sweetums candy heir Bobby Newport.

Poehler jokingly compares Parks and Recreation to the mob. “Pawnee always brings people back together and nobody ever leaves, like the Mafia. This show is like the Mafia. You can’t escape it. It will always find you.”

Poehler, who plays character Leslie Knope, says they’ve switched up the format for the final season. “We solve a murder ever episode. That’s new,” says Poehler.

Last season ended with a time jump three years into the future. That’s where Tuesday night’s double episode picks up.

The series will air back-to-back episodes each week until the hour-long series finale Feb. 24.
