Joni Ernst Wears Camo-Heels to Give the SOTU Republican Response

(WASHINGTON) –Sen. Joni Ernst knows how to make a statement.
The newly elected senator from Iowa was chosen to give the Republican response to Tuesday night’s State of the Union and decided to let her shoes send a message of their own.
A photo shared by Ernst’s team shows her wearing camouflage-themed high heels.
The military shout-out is not an empty gesture either, as Ernst served in Kuwait in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003 to 2004 and was a member of the Army Reserves for more than two decades.
