WATCH: Hippo Chases Behind Speedboat in Frightening Moment

Marcel2087/iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Footage captured at Kafue National Park in Zambia in December shows a hippopotamus lurking in the water and chasing after people in a speedboat.
The driver had gunned the engine to get away — and it was good they did, because the hippo can be seen emerging from the water, feet away from the back of the boat.
The video — uploaded to Facebook by Michael Varndell of the safari and tour company Malawian Style — has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.
