Brady Wins 3rd Super Bowl MVP
Published at(GLENDALE, Ariz.) — After leading the New England Patriots to a Super Bowl XLIX victory over the Seattle Seahawks, quarterback Tom Brady was named Super Bowl MVP for an NFL record third time, tying Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana.
Brady completed 37 of 50 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns, including an 8-for-8 65-yard drive late in the fourth quarter to give the Patriots the lead with two minutes remaining in the game. The drive would ultimately end up putting the Pats ahead for good.
Tom Brady joins Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to win four Super Bowl titles.
