I.F. man arrested for possession

IDAHO FALLS — Hunter Johnson of Idaho Falls was arrested Wednesday for possession of marijuana and providing a false name to police. Johnson also had a warrant out for his arrest out of Washington State.

The Idaho Falls Police Department reports officers were attempting to locate the owner of a small dog. When the owner of the dog, 18-year-old Whitney Walker, was located at the 1300 block of Canal Avenue, officers noticed a strong smell of marijuana. Johnson, 23, was also at that residence.

Walker turned over a small bag of marijuana and paraphernalia to the officers and was cited for possession of marijuana. Johnson was booked in the Bonneville County Jail.
