Vladimir Putin: Sick or Well?

The Russian president, who has never been shy around cameras, is rumored to have taken ill after not being seen publicly since March 5.
Fueling speculation of a possible health issue is a report Thursday from a Kazakhstan government official who said Putin canceled a visit after he had “fallen ill.”
Putin was also absent Thursday from a meeting of Russia’s annual Federal Security Service, an event he has never missed.
However, whatever the truth might be, Putin’s handlers are certainly not going to tell the world that he might be under the weather.
Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed the rumors Thursday, claiming Putin’s handshake was so strong that “he’s breaking hands.”
