Air Canada Crash Passengers Receive $5,000 Check from Airline
Published at(HALIFAX, Nova Scotia) — Passengers who were aboard the plane that crashed last week in Halifax, Nova Scotia, will receive payment for their troubles.
The airline recently sent out letters to passengers on the affected flight, informing them about receiving a $5,000 payment from Air Canada, according to a report by CTV News.
CTV News obtained a letter signed by the airline’s president, which said the airline is “focusing on the well-being” of its passengers as it cooperates with the investigation.
The payment “would be set off against any liability” that might come from investigations into Flight 624, according to CTV News.
Passengers on flight AC624 are expected to file a class-action lawsuit over the crash.
