Weaver, who was 116, died Monday due to complications from pneumonia at the facility where she was being cared for in Camden, Arkansas.

It was only last week that Weaver became the world’s oldest documented person, following the death of a 117-year woman in Japan.

Born on the 4th of July in 1898, Weaver said the secret to her long life was just being nice to people.

She got married in 1915 and had four kids.

With Weaver’s passing, 115-year-old Jeralean Talley of Inskter, Michigan, is now the world’s oldest known person.
