I.F. Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault, Eluding

IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls Police arrested 23-year-old Cody J. Hill for aggravated assault, felony eluding and resisting arrest after he attempted to evade police investigating a domestic disturbance Monday night.

The Idaho Falls man also was booked into the Bonneville County Jail for a Bonneville County misdemeanor warrant.

According to reports, officers responded to the 2300 block of Stace Street around 7:52 p.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance involving a gun. The reporting party stated Hill threatened a 23-year-old woman with a gun. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Hill who was in his vehicle and in possession of a gun. He refused to cooperate with police and drove away.

Hill eluded police as he drove through Idaho Falls and Ammon. On a couple of occasions, he swerved his vehicle toward officers as they attempted to stop him. Bonneville County Deputies were able to finally stop Hill in a field north of Sunnyside Road and east of Ammon Road around 8:05 p.m.
