I.F. Man Arrested for Felony DUI

IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls Police arrested 33-year-old Derek C. O’Connell for felony driving under the influence during a traffic stop at “E” Street and Shoup Avenue Sunday afternoon.
O’Connell of Idaho Falls was also booked into the Bonneville County Jail for open container.
According to reports, officers stopped O’Connell at Shoup Avenue and “E” Street around 1:20 p.m. During the stop, officer determined he was under the influence of alcohol. There also multiple cans of beer inside the vehicle. O’Connell has a previous felony DUI conviction.
