New 7.3 magnitude earthquake hits Nepal

(CNN) — The official death toll from latest large earthquake to rattle Nepal and the surrounding area stood at 19 late Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. Sixteen of those deaths were in Nepal, with Nepalese Home Ministry spokesman Laxmi Prasad Dhakal saying nine were in Dolakha, three were in Kathmandu and the rest were from elsewhere in the Asian nation. Nepalese government information and communications ministry spokesman Minendra Rijal said at least 846 had been injured. Three more people died in a wall collapse in India’s Bihar state, which neighbors Nepal, said Sunil Kumar, a senior disaster management official in that Indian state.
