The Washington Post correspondent in Tehran has sat through four secret hearings in just 10 weeks and no one knows what might come next.

Rezaian’s lawyer spoke outside the courthouse, suggesting a verdict may come as early as next Monday.

For its part, the Washington Post urged Iran’s senior leadership to “end this ‘judicial process,’ with its sick brew of farce and tragedy.” The newspaper called the trial a “sham.”
