POCATELLO – City councilman Jim Johnston has announced his candidacy for another bid into the Pocatello City Council.
Johnston, who has been serving on the council for the past five years, discusses how, after a failed attempt for the state Legislature, he wound up serving in the city.
He tells how he believes people have a responsibility to give something back to the community, and lists numerous organizations he has served on including something called CommUniversity, an organization that supports Idaho State University.
Johnston tells of several of the successes the Gate City is experiencing, including being one of the top cities nationwide in its recovery from the Great Recession, as well as a healthy increase in average wage.
