Rexburg man charged with statutory rape, sexual battery of a child

REXBURG – A 24-year-old man is facing criminal charges after investigators say he had sex with a teenage girl.
Jose Isaac Turcios is charged with two felony counts of statutory rape and one felony count of sexual battery of a child.
Turcios was arrested Wednesday as part of a joint investigation between the Rexburg Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say Turcios worked in a supervisory role at a Rexburg fast food restaurant. The sexual acts allegedly occurred with a 16-year-old girl who also worked at the same restaurant. Police say the incidents happened in September.
Turcios is in the Madison County Jail on $200,000 bond awaiting a court hearing.
