Subway donates $1000 to Community Food Basket
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — A local Subway restaurant owner is donating $1000 to the Community Food Basket of Idaho Falls.
The money comes from a month-long “Subway Cares” program where customers added money to their total bill as a donation to the Community Food Basket.
Organizers say this is the first year “Subway Cares” has worked with the non-profit organization.
“I’m very pleased with the results of the program in the greater Idaho Falls area,” Bud Langerak, Executive Director of Community Food Basket – Idaho Falls, tells EastIdahoNews.com. “We’re encouraged by the community support and look forward to a continued relationship with Subway.”
Langerak says the money will be used to purchase food for those who use the Community Food Basket.
