IDAHO FALLS – Two men accused of aiding in the kidnapping and attack of an Idaho Falls man in August have pleaded guilty to lesser charges in exchange for having other charges dropped.

doublemugsjpAlvaro Oseguera, 33, and Ivan Sandoval, 19, entered plea agreements during a court hearing in Bonneville County on Dec. 15.

Oseguera pleaded guilty to second degree kidnapping in exchange for having an aggravated battery charge and a possession of a controlled substance charge dismissed.

Sandoval pleaded guilty to an accessory to second degree kidnapping charge and an accessory to aggravated battery charge. He was originally charged with second degree kidnapping and aggravated battery.

Oseguera and Sandoval were among five people charged in connection with the kidnapping and brutal attack of Brandon Bykonen on Aug. 27. Bykonen says he was blindfolded and tied up at Oseguera’s house before being driven to the foothills of Bonneville County.

When they arrived, says he was placed face down in the dirt and forced to extend his bound hands in front of him. That’s when Devan Crawford is accused of repeatedly “hacking” Bykonen’s hands – resulting in a loss of several fingers.
