Investigation into 3-vehicle crash in Rigby still underway
Published at | Updated atRIGBY — Idaho State Police officials say the investigation into Friday evening’s three-vehicle crash is complex and could take several weeks to complete.
Of the five people involved in the wreck on 300 North across from the Pioneer Cemetery, four were taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
One person went by air ambulance, two went by ground ambulance and one went by private vehicle. The fifth person was not injured.
Law enforcement says several juveniles were among those injured.
As part of the investigation, a crash reconstructionist will work with the investigating trooper to determine the cause and if anyone was at fault.
The names of those involved in the crash have not been released, and their conditions are unknown. ISP says all occupants were wearing their seat belts.
Once their investigation is complete, their final report will be referred to prosecutors for charging decisions, if any.
