Accused Christmas package bandits could face additional charges

IDAHO FALLS — Police have released the names of the two people arrested on Tuesday after witnesses saw them stealing packages from people’s doorsteps.

Nicholle Lockyer and Eduardo Anguiano-Gonzalez were taken into custody on the corner of 17th South and Sviskon Ave. by the Idaho Falls Police Department after a citizen witnessed them stealing packages. Multiple parcels were recovered by authorities.

Lockyer and Anguiano-Gonzalez currently face several drug charges and additional charges could be filed, according to Bonneville County prosecutor Daniel Clark.

Chad Bateman says he witnessed the whole thing and notified police.

“(We saw) them taking my neighbor’s package (and) several other neighbors packages (and) they got arrested,” Bateman told us.

Lockyer is a convicted felon and Anguiano-Gonzalez has outstanding warrants from the Bonneville County Sherrif’s office and the Idaho Falls Police Department.
