East Idaho Eats: Fizz Bizz puts heart into its sodas and expands into Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS — A Rigby favorite has opened an additional shop for soda fans on Broadway Street in Idaho Falls.
Fizz Bizz has been opened in Idaho Falls for about a month but has been constructing the eccentric location since January.
Owner Becca Madsen says Fizz fans couldn’t get enough of the Rigby shop and kept requesting another location further south.
Fizz Bizz serves custom sodas with flavor shots, cream shots and fruit puree shots.
Although the soda shop idea has been popular in east Idaho, Madsen said Fizz Bizz stands out because it has “heart.”
“We just pour our heart and soul into this business. We make sure that all of our employees love our business as much as we do. We have great customer service,” Madsen said. “All of our employees are just so friendly.”
Madsen said you can find family themes throughout the business in the treats they serve. Customers can purchase sugar cookies and other cookie options and right now their winter seasonal pumpkin cream cheese frosting can be added on top of any cookie. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie with pumpkin cream cheese frosting is a unique treat combination Madsen recommends.
“When my husband and I opened our shop, we wanted it to be very reflective of us and some of our favorite things. That is why we have the popcorn, because my husband is a popcorn addict. I love rice crispy treats so we had to do a big chewy, gooey rice crispy treat,” Madsen said.
Italian ice and custard are also offered along with icy treats in what they call “gelati style.” The Italian ice and custard are only offered at the Idaho Falls location.
Fizz fans can attend either shop in Rigby or Idaho Falls. Madsen said the Idaho Falls location has a sitdown setting and drive-thru customers can enjoy.

“It’s hands down life changing if you’ve never had something in your Dr. Pepper,” Madsen said.
