People magazine publishes story on local father battling ALS

IDAHO FALLS — People magazine posted a story Monday about a local father of four battling ALS who received $10,000 from a Secret Santa.
Wyatt Rees broke down when EastIdahoNews.com showed up at his house earlier this month with the gift. His wife, Mindy, spoke about her husband’s health challenges and how the family is handling the situation.
The video has been seen around the world and a People reporter contacted the family last week to tell their story.
“I couldn’t believe they wanted our story,” Mindy says.
