UPDATE: Gas meter at local restaurant, damaged by snowplow, has been repaired

UPDATE 2:30 p.m.

IDAHO FALLS – A gas meter at a local restaurant in Idaho Falls has been repaired after it was broken Saturday morning.

Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to a call about a broken gas meter at Jalisco’s restaurant on 17th and Channing Way just after 10:00 a.m.

Kerry Hammon with IFFD tells EastIdahoNews.com a private snow plow hit the gas meter and broke it while plowing the parking lot.

Services were disconnected while the line and meter were repaired. Hammon says everything should be up and running now.

No injuries have been reported.

IDAHO FALLS – Authorities are investigating a broken gas meter at Jalisco’s restaurant on 17th and Channing Way.

Kerry Hammon with the Idaho Falls Fire Dept. tells EastIdahoNews.com they received a call shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday about the gas meter.

The fire department is working with the gas company to determine the cause.

Jaslisco’s was evacuated as a safety precaution. No injuries have been reported.
