Woman taken to hospital after hitting tow truck on I-15

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

INKOM — Shortly after 11:30 a.m. Monday, Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash southbound on I-15 at milepost 60.8, approximately two miles north of Inkom.

Sadie Hawker, 21, of Blackfoot, was traveling southbound on I-15. A tow truck was on the median side while the operator was recovering a vehicle from a previous crash.

Hawker struck the unoccupied tow truck, and her vehicle came to rest in the lane of travel. The lanes were blocked for approximately one hour.

Hawker was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. She was wearing her seat belt.
