These businesses are offering military discounts for Veterans Day 2018

Veterans Day is Sunday, and businesses all over east Idaho are using the occasion to offer freebies and deals for our vets. This list — which is in no particular order — will be updated as we learn of more offers, and if you have any we’ve missed, please email news@eastidahonews.com.

JIFFY LUBE: On Monday all Jiffy Lube locations in the area will give free signature service oil changes to all veterans and active duty military from 8 a.m. to noon.

EAST IDAHO AQUARIUM: All veterans and military personnel receive free admission and a free token between Saturday and Thursday at the East Idaho Aquarium (military ID required). Up to six family members or friends will receive 50 percent off their admission that day (must accompany the guest of honor). Coloring contest and selfie station contest with prizes.

SMITTY’S PANCAKE & STEAK HOUSE: On Sunday between 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., 50 percent off for all veterans.

CHICK-FIL-A (Ammon): On Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., all active duty, retired military personnel and veterans get a free chicken sandwich. Bring military ID or proof of service.

CAR WASH EXPRESS: Car Wash Express is giving free car washes to active duty military personnel or veterans Monday.

CEDRIC’S: Cedrics restaurant offers 50% off any meal on the menu every Monday for any veteran, law enforcement officer or firefighter.

SWEETO BURRITO: The Idaho Falls Sweeto Burrito is offering Veteran Sundays — from Nov. 11 to Dec. 30, it will be offering all active and inactive military personnel 50 percent off any one entree (burrito, salad or bowler).

MAURICES: Maurices has a 10 percent military discount with valid ID, which also enters the ID holder for a chance to win $100.

APPLEBEE’S: Locations in Rexburg, Idaho Falls and Pocatello offering free meals to veterans and active-duty military. Proof of military service is required.

BUFFALO WILD WINGS: Veterans and active duty military will receive a free small order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries. This applies to the Idaho Falls and Pocatello locations.

DENNY’S: On Monday from 5 a.m. to noon, Denny’s in Idaho Falls and Chubbuck will offer a free Build Your Own Grand Slam to service members with military ID.

LITTLE CAESAR’S: During their normal lunch period (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) Sunday, this pizza place will be offering free HOT-N-READY Lunch Combos to veterans and military personnel who provide proof of service.

FREDDY’S FROZEN CUSTARD & STEAKBURGERS:Free combo meal for vets on Sunday at Rexburg, Idaho Falls and Chubbuck locations with military ID. Freddy’s also offers gift cards for veterans that will be honored any day out of the year.

IHOP: Like last year, IHOP will be offering a free stack of red, white and blue pancakes Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

OLIVE GARDEN: This Italian restaurant will have a free meal on Veterans Day. Veterans and military personnel can order off of a limited entree menu and add soup and breadsticks.

RED ROBIN: Those with proof of service can enjoy a free Red’s Tavern double burger and bottomless steak fries.

GOLDEN CORRAL: On Monday from 5 to 9 p.m., veterans can get a free “Thank You” Dinner.

GREAT CLIPS: Free haircut or a free haircut card for vets to be used at a later date.

TARGET: Register online here to obtain a 10 percent military discount for online and in-store purchases. This offer is good through Monday.

STARBUCKS: For coffee-loving veterans, active duty military and their spouses, Starbucks will provide one small hot-brewed coffee on Veterans Day.

TEXAS ROADHOUSE: Veterans can eat for free this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. off a special menu.

CEDRIC’S RESTAURANT: Cedric’s Restaurant in Idaho Falls offers 50% off any meal Monday for any veteran, law enforcement, and firefighter.
