IDAHO FALLS — Police are investigating a three-car crash that occurred on Tuesday night near Family Dollar and Winco.
According to Idaho Falls Police spokeswoman Jessica Clements, the crash occurred around 5:35 p.m. on First Street. Three cars were driving eastbound, when a black pick-up truck rear ended an SUV that was in the turning lane to go into the Family Dollar parking lot.
The same truck then hit another white utility truck that was also driving eastbound.
One passenger in the truck was injured and transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. The driver of the truck was cited for inattentive driving.
Clements says officers are working on clearing the vehicles from the road. Drivers can expect congestion, although the road will remain open.
