Bingham County closes road; others are covered in water

BLACKFOOT — Crews have closed roads in Bingham County and are advising drivers that multiple streets are covered in water.

Bingham County Road and Bridge have closed 900 West to 100 South starting on Highway 39 and going through Thomas Road.

According to a news release from the county, motorists are urged to use extreme caution when driving on roads with crossing water and drivers should avoid them altogether if possible.

Residents are urged to have an emergency plan in case of flooding. Sandbag stations are located in various locations throughout the county for residents in need.

The Shelley location is the Shelley Fire station, Firth’s is located behind Collets, Aberdeen is behind the Aberdeen Fire Department and there are locations at Moreland Park and The Cow Palace at 900 West 140 South.
