New AAA service center opens in Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS – The Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce and members of the community gathered Thursday afternoon for the ribbon cutting of the new AAA Service Center.
The new store officially opened its doors at 3418 S. 25th East inside Kingwood Plaza.
With as many as 10,000 customers in the Idaho Falls area, AAA Oregon/Idaho CEO Tim Morgan tells EastIdahoNews.com there’s been a growing demand for an Idaho Falls location for several years.
“It’s a growing, vibrant community and one of the largest areas we didn’t have one of our brick-and-mortar offices in,” Morgan said. “We’ve been serving the area with road service for many years. The closest location for residents here was Pocatello, so it was time (to open a service center in Idaho Falls).”
Roadside assistance is, by far, their most popular service, according to company spokesman Matthew Conde, but other services offered include home, property, auto, and life insurance. They also offer hotel and travel services. Conde says their discounts and rewards program is popular with the millennial crowd. He’s also seen an increase in the bicycle program in the last five years, which is similar to the roadside assistance program, but for bikes.
“We’ve just become a resource that gives people the confidence to be mobile,” says Conde. “We’re not a towing company, we’re a mobility company. Our services are all about keeping people moving and keeping their lives going.”
Conde says the Idaho Falls store will provide more convenience to customers in the area. They hope to eventually increase their footprint by opening a bigger store one day and possibly even open another location in Rexburg.
“We’ve been delighted with everybody we’ve met (as we’ve worked to establish a presence in Idaho Falls). People have been very welcoming and we appreciate all the support in helping us get this launched,” says Morgan.
There are 22 AAA locations throughout Oregon and Idaho. The Idaho Falls location is the fifth store in Idaho. AAA is located right next to Bee Happy Pediatrics. Its hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
