Chef Jeff makes his signature buffalo sauce with home-baked chicken wings

Ingredients
- 2 lbs. chicken wings
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 450. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Set a wire rack inside and coat with non-stick spray.
- Place the chicken wings on a layer of paper towels and thoroughly dry the wings.
- Add the dry wings, baking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to a mixing bowl and toss to combine. Place the seasoned wings, evenly spaced, on the wire rack and place in the oven.
- Bake the wings for 20 minutes then flip them over and bake another 15 minutes. Flip the wings again and bake another 15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
- Remove from the oven and toss immediately in favorite wing sauce. Serve warm.
Chef Jeff’s Buffalo Wing Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 12oz bottle Frank’s or favorite hot sauce.
- ¼ c. dark brown sugar
- ¼ c. butter
- 1 tbsp. garlic
- 1 tbsp. oil
Directions
- In a pot over medium heat, put in oil and garlic and cook until garlic starts to brown.
- Add the hot sauce and brown sugar. Once the sauce starts to simmer, add the butter and stir until it completely melts. Remove from heat and toss on wings.
