RIGBY — Those needing to visit the Department of Motor Vehicles and Assessor’s Office in Jefferson County will need to make an appointment.

As of Monday, the county moved to an appointment-only system until further notice. Complications with a new state-launched software leading to long lines and an increased risk of COVID-19 transmission prompted the change, according to a news release.
