Live United Concert series returning for 2022 season this Thursday

  Published at  | Updated at

IDAHO FALLS — The Live United Concert Series is returning to The Waterfront at Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls this Thursday.

The concert series is an effort by the United Way of Idaho Falls and Bonneville County to bring the community together to hear some great music and support a number of different causes that affect local kids. The shows are family-friendly and will also feature food trucks and beverages.

This Thursday’s band will be the popular local country/Southern rock fusion act Cold Dark Whiskey.

“Our concerts are an opportunity for community members to see and hear firsthand the work that United Way and its 47 partners are involved with on a local level,” United Way spokesman Chris Wiersema said in a news release. “We’re excited to bring back our ‘Ready. Set. READ!’ program – each week United Way will be sharing new books and book bags for children attending the concert. Each concert will also have a hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) project for kids, pulled from our newly acquired Think-Make-Create STEAM trailer.”

The concerts will also include Engagement Projects, opportunities to bring to light issues facing the community and for those attending to donate items to support local nonprofits. Items collected at the show will be distributed to the United Way’s partners to be used as needed.
