POCATELLO — A man who allegedly had sexual contact with a child between 2016 — when the child was nine — and 2021 has been charged with multiple felonies.

Kwentin Nicholas Miller, 28, faces six felony counts of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16 and two felony counts of rape, court documents show.

Little information is available about the charges due to the documents being sealed by the court. What is known is that Miller is accused of making sexual contact with a child, beginning in 2016 when the child was only nine years old.

Sexual contact continued until Miller raped the victim on several occassions when the victim was 13 years old, according to charge documents. The first incident happened in 2020. Miller is charged with an additional rape related to an incident in 2021.

Charges were filed in February.

If he is found guilty, Miller could face life sentences for each of the crimes.

He is scheduled for jury trial before District Judge Javier Gabiola on June 20.

Though Miller has been charged with these crimes, it does not necessarily mean he committed them. Everyone is presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.
