Highway blocked after truck crashes into train

ROBERTS — Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash involving a train and a vehicle in Roberts.
It happened shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of 2884 East and State Highway 48 where a Ford 150 hit the side of a train, according to a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Nobody was injured in the crash but the highway is blocked until the train is assessed for damages and can be safely removed.
