Police on scene of shooting in Idaho Falls neighborhood

IDAHO FALLS — A person is in custody following a shooting Monday morning in Idaho Falls.

Officers were called to the 200 block of 4th Street around 5:30 a.m. after someone was shot. Their condition has not been released but a suspect was arrested, according to Idaho Falls Police Lt. Bob Lasher.

The front yards of two homes were surrounded with yellow crime scene tape and multiple officers remained on the scene as of 8:30 a.m. Investigators also used a drone to capture images of the area from the air.

The shooting was an isolated incident and there is no safety threat to the public, Lasher tells EastIdahoNews.com.
