BLACKFOOT — The victim of the crash has been identified. Bingham County Coroner Jimmy Roberts has confirmed Tamara Wilkinson, 61, of Blackfoot died in the crash.

ORIGINAL STORY:

BLACKFOOT — A Blackfoot woman has died after a crash in Blackfoot Wednesday morning, according to a news release from the Blackfoot Police Department.

At 11:15 a.m., Blackfoot Police officers happened upon a two-vehicle crash that had just occurred at the intersection of West Bridge Street and Cedar Street, officials said.

Officers immediately began giving lifesaving measures to one of the drivers, according to the news release. Blackfoot Fire and EMS took over efforts to save when they arrived. The woman was taken to Bingham Memorial Hospital, where she died due to her injuries.

The other driver, a 28-year-old Blackfoot woman driving a pickup truck, was able to leave the scene in a private vehicle, police said.

The crash investigation closed W. Bridge St. from Pacific Street to Cedar Street for about an hour. The investigation is being conducted by the Blackfoot Police Department and is ongoing.
