A Feel Good Friday surprise for a man who has fixed hundreds of cars for free

EastIdahoNews.com is partnering with Ashley and Ashley Outlet of Idaho Falls to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.

We recently received an email about a man who is helping others when their vehicles break down. It said:

Mike fixes cars for free – even major repairs. Mike has been disabled with back problems and unable to work for many years. He’s a gifted mechanic and uses all of his time and meager resources to fix people’s cars.

He travels from his home in St. Anthony to Idaho Falls and Ashton working on cars and doesn’t charge anything. He won’t even take donations. Because he lives close to BYU-Idaho, he’s constantly working on students’ cars. I would estimate he fixes at least 100 cars per year.

We decided to surprise Mike for Feel Good Friday and thank him for all he does to help others. Check out the video in the player above!
