IDAHO FALLS — Deputies are looking for a 38-year-old inmate on work release who failed to return to the Bonneville County Jail.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Frank Gene Hart. According to an East Idaho Crime Stoppers’ post on social media, Hart failed to return to the jail Sunday afternoon.

“Inmates who qualify for the work release program through the courts are allowed to leave the jail temporarily for work purposes and return during off hours,” the post said.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Bryan Lovell told EastIdahoNews.com Hart was booked in last November for DUI and a warrant for probation violation.

Lovell said a new charge for misdemeanor escape (violating conditions of release) is currently pending.

Hart’s whereabouts are unknown at this time.

He is described as 5’8” and is 182 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on where Hart might be is asked to contact Bonneville County Dispatch at (208) 529-1200 or report anonymously online at www.IFcrime.org.
