REXBURG (Homestead Senior Living) — Dennis is a resident of the Homestead’s Independent Living in the Cottages. You may recognize him from another one of our video’s where he went on an amazing moose hunt this last fall in 2023.

He has been an avid hunter his entire life, and loves being able to still go out on hunting adventures. He has been fishing, pheasant hunting, grouse hunting, moose hunting, and turkey hunting with the Homestead. He is 94 years old, and has no plans of slowing down anytime soon!

Lynn is a resident at the Homestead’s Assisted Living, and like Dennis has a deep passion for hunting! However, he has never been turkey hunting before and wanted to experience this thrilling adventure and check it off his bucket list. He was elated as he brought down a beautiful tom!

After the Homestead assisted in dressing down and properly storing the turkeys that were harvested, Blake, our Activities Director, cooked up one of the turkey’s up during cooking club with all the residents. They all enjoyed being able to be a part of the adventure.

The Homestead Senior Living is always trying to create immersive and authentic experiences for our residents, and was honored in taking these gentlemen out into nature and helping them relive their younger years.
