The following is a news release from Bonneville School District 93.

IDAHO FALLS – Bonneville Joint School District 93 partnered with local organizations, dedicated volunteers, and generous donors to provide Thanksgiving meals for 120 families in need. This collaborative effort brought the community together to ensure that families could enjoy a warm and memorable holiday meal.

The initiative was supported by the East Idaho Falls Rotary Club, students from D93’s F.L.I.T.T.E. program, district office staff, and countless community members. Generous donations from the Hall Foundation, local families, and other supporters played a vital role in making the project possible.

A key partner in the effort, WinCo Foods, managed orders and prepared the meals for distribution. Their assistance, combined with D93’s leadership and organization, ensured the continuation of a beloved local tradition.

“This is something that has happened in our community for a long time,” said Dr. Scott Woolstenhulme, D93 Superintendent. “It was a different organization that did it. Last year they weren’t able to do it, and we said we would love to take that over. With the help and support of our community, we are able to do this.”

This project not only provided meals but also demonstrated the compassion and teamwork that define the D93 community. Organizers expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support from donors and volunteers, whose contributions ensured the initiative’s success.

“As long as our community continues to support it and can bring those donations in, we can provide the labor and do the organization to get it out to our families,” added Dr. Woolstenhulme.

This effort reflects D93’s commitment to serving its families and fostering strong community partnerships. By working together, the district and its partners are making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
